Why choose Rebirth Keepsakes?
I know you may be hesitant on finding the best keepsake company, especially with something so special to your heart and with so many companies to choose from. I created Rebirth Keepsakes with you in mind. I have experienced loss, been a surrogate, started my own company. But none of that would have been possible without the support of my community and people like you. I want to create beautiful pieces for each and everyone of you to cherish for the rest of time!
What are inclusions?
Inclusions are the items that you send in to be turned into a keepsake.
What sort of inclusions can I send?
I can use almost anything! I can use breastmilk, formula, ashes (human and pet), dried flowers, dried umbilical cord, dried placenta capsules, hair, sand, pregnancy test cap and fabric. How do I send my inclusions?
I wanted to create a seamless process of sending your inclusions so within 72 hours of purchasing your keepsake, I will mail a inclusion collection kit. This kit is free of charge and has a prepaid label to return your Keepsakes to me so there is no cost to you! This will also include shipping instructions.
Once a purchase is made, you will receive DETAILED instructions on how to send inclusions.
For liquid inclusions, you will only send 1 oz of liquid, DO NOT SEND MORE!!!I You also need to TRIPLE bag the liquids as sometimes the first bag or two can break and leak during transit.
For ashes DO NOT SEND IN URN OR LIKE ITEM!!!!!! I can not stress this enough, this is because it can be lost in the mail and Rebirth Keepsakes is NOT responsible for this loss! Because each urn is unique, they also are opened differently and we will not be responsible for any damages that occur when opening. If you are needing assistance with opening an urn, it is best to reach out to the mortuary who provided the urn for instructions. We only need 1 tsp of ashes, also triple bagged.
What is included in the inclusion collection kit?
The inclusion collection kit with come in a grey bag, once opened you will find shipping instructions and a return bubble mailer already labeled with a return shipping label. Be sure to fill out the paper and include ALL your inclusions in the return bubble mailer WITH the shipping paperwork. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!!!! You will have 30 days to send inclusions back to Rebirth Keepsakes.
How long do I have to send my inclusions?
Once you receive your inclusion collection kit, you will have 30 days to return to me. If you are having issues, please email me to rebirthkeepsakes@gmail.com with subject line: Shipping Question/Concern.
How do I know it is my inclusion in my keepsake?
As a mother and business owner, I take extreme care in my systems and organization. I have years of medical background where organization is ESSENTIAL. The pillars of this company are integrity and quality craftsmanship. When an order is placed, you will receive an invoice number that stays with your keepsake through the entire process - from the time you place the order until you pick it up from your mailbox!
What do you do with leftover inclusions after keepsake is made?
Preserved milk will be kept on-hand for 2 years from the date of purchase in case you would like to purchase an additional piece. An additional 2 years of storage can be purchased, or you can purchase another keepsake which will automatically restart your 2 years storage. Leftover cremation ash, hair, fabric, sand, umbilical cord, flowers, pregnancy test cap and placenta will always be sent back with your the finished piece. I will not send back any preserved milk.
How do you make my keepsake?
The process is a bit different depending on the keepsake and inclusions being used. For our breastmilk jewelry, it goes through a double preservation method that involves meticulously removing all bacteria from your milk using heat and adding our preservation powder. The breastmilk paste is then dried and ground down by hand with a mortar and pestle until an extremely fine powder is achieved. The keepsake is then made using a jeweler's grade resin according to the custom preferences (adding other inclusions or add-ins, etc.). After the resin is fully cure, we set the stone into your setting (if applicable), polish, hand-wrap it with love in our premium packaging and send on its way home to you!
What materials are used to make the keepsake and keepsake jewlery?
There is a variety of metal/stone options within our collections. Be sure to read each description to find which is best for you.
How long does the process take to make and receive my keepsake?
The current wait time is approximately 4-16 weeks from when we receive your inclusions to when you receive it in the mail and is subject to change. This timeline is an estimate.
Our top priority is maintaining the absolute best quality craftsmanship and we will never rush the process. If there are any unexpected delays, we will reach out to you via email.
How do I track where my keepsake is in the process?
You can view your order status page once you login to your account. You will see different statuses for the different steps.
Can I use old breastmilk?
Absolutely!!
Can I wear my keepsake jewlery everyday?
The best choice for frequent wear is 14K/18K solid gold. It is much more durable and less prone to tarnishing than the silver and silver with plating options.The plating on the plated pieces will likely wear off over time (how quickly depends on body chemistry, care for keepsake and frequency of wear). The keepsake stones are similar in hardness to an opal and if worn frequently they can eventually scratch and may even chip.
How do I care for my keepsakes?
Treat your keepsake with the upmost care! Do not shower, bathe, wash hands, do dishes, work out, clean, do laborious work, sunbathe, swim, or sleep while wearing your jewelry. Do not expose your jewelry to chemicals (lotion, perfume, hairspray, laundry/dish soap, etc.), extreme temperatures, humidity, extended UV light, or essential oils. Do not store your jewelry in direct sunlight or in a humid area like a bathroom. We recommend storing in a dark, dry area - such as the wood box or travel velvet bag we send with each keepsake. Do not store mixed metals together as that can accelerate tarnishing. For example, do not store silver pieces in the same place as gold plated pieces.
A polishing cloth is included with each jewelry order. We caution against using the cloth frequently on plated pieces as it can strip the plating.
Please do not resize your keepsake rings.
How do I purchase additional storage time for preserved breastmilk and how long is the additional storage good for?

Do you ship internationally?
Not at this time.
Do you have shipping insurance?
Yes. It is included in our shipping pricing. Rebirth Keepsakes is not responsible for lost or damaged items in the mail since it is out of our control. However, shipping insurance will cover the cost of another piece of jewelry. It is up to the buyer to file a claim with the shipping agency.
Will the keepsake jewlery tarnish or fade over time?
We offer plated pieces as well as solid gold options. The plating on plated pieces will wear off eventually and need re-plating (this is a service I do not yet offer). Plating lifetime depends on many factors such as an individual's body chemistry, time spent wearing the piece, keepsake care, etc.
If plating wear or tarnishing concerns you, please choose solid gold. It is much more durable and less likely to tarnish than sterling silver/plated, which is more suited for occasional wear.
A polishing cloth, wood box and travel velvet bag is included with every keepsake order. You can use this cloth to polish silver and solid gold pieces. We caution against using the cloth frequently on plated pieces as it can strip the plating.
What does additional milk preservation mean?
Some mamas would like their piece to include breastmilk from breastfeeding and/or pumping each of their babies.
Will my keepsake color be the same exact as the inclusions I send?
Our preservation method may alter the color. Your milk can be translucent, grey, yellow, green or blue. If your milk sample is extremely yellow or translucent, you may want to add a bit of shimmer to brighten and accentuate the natural beauty of your milk. Ashes and sand can look grey, brown, tan and black. Any other inclusion can also change slightly in color once it comes in contact with the jewelry grade resin.
For anyone who may be concerned about their breastmilk or formula not being very white, we do offer and suggest selecting whitener as an add-in.
Will my keepsake look exactly like the example photo?
Each keepsake is as unique as butterflys, no two are ever going to be the exact same. Some inclusions are more difficult to work with than others and no two pieces will ever look alike. There will always be some variation to each jewelry piece which can include but not limited to: translucency, bubbles, color, evidence of handcrafting, amount of add-ins, amount of inclusions, stones not sitting completely flush on the setting, and other minor imperfections. These are all within normal limits of handcrafted jewelry. By making a purchase with Rebirth Keepsakes LLC you are agreeing that your keepsake will not be 100% perfect/without any flaws.
Can you add stones into already existing settings such as ring settings or necklaces?
At this time, I do not offer this. This is because I do not want to damage any existing settings.
Do you offer filming of the making of my keepsake?
I offered this for the first few customers and will eventually offer this again in the future for an additional fee. For now I want to focus 100% of my time on the creativity, care and love that goes into each and every keepsake. Without the distraction of a film set up.
Can you resize the keepsake rings?
No. The settings and the stones inside do not hold up well to the resizing process. I recommend if the ring is too big to go online to Amazon and purchase a ring size adjuster. It is a small piece of rubber that wraps around the ring base.

Absolutely! Email me at rebirthkeepsakes@gmail.com so we can go over a quote, shipping times and uploading photos appropriately.
How long does it take to receive?
PRE-ORDERS WILL TAKE 4-16 WEEKS TO SHIP OUT!!!!! ONCE PRE-ORDERS HAVE CONCLUDED, WE WILL RESUME NORMAL WAIT TIMES!!!!
Typically photo magnet orders take up to 5 business days to be shipped.

Warranties, Cancellations and Refunds
Do you offer any warranties on Keepsakes?
If your keepsake stone falls out of a setting and you still have the keepsake stone, we will repair it for free for a period of 30 days after you received your keepsake from us. You are responsible for the cost of shipping the setting and stone to us. If you cannot locate the stone and the 30 day period has not yet passed, we can re-make the stone for you. But you may need to send us more inclusion.
Some keepsake settings also have simulated diamonds and other types of stones on it. You have 30 days to notify us if a stone is to fall out. Keep in mind, not all stones are replaceable. There may be a fee associated with replacing those stones. You are responsible for the cost of shipping the setting to us. After 30 days this warranty will be void.
Prongs may become loose if the jewelry piece is handled roughly at any point. Local jewelry repair stores can provide services to fix loose prongs for a fee.
Discoloration can occur on ALL resin items as this is the chemical properties of all resin. As stated in the jewelry care instructions, please keep your keepsakes out of extended sunlight, away from heat, water, chemicals, etc. We use jeweler's grade resin which helps guard against discoloration, however no resin is 100% able to mitigate damage from harsh chemicals, discoloration, heat and extended UV light. Some breastmilk will have a yellow hue to it. This may be confused with resin discoloration. There is a 30 day guarantee that your keepsake with not discolor.
Please inspect your jewelry upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. If a setting is defective upon receipt of the jewelry piece or the keepsake stone appears to have major flaws, you have a 7 day grace period after receipt of the item to email me photos with your concern. It is up to Rebirth Keepsakes LLC to determine whether the flaw falls within the normal variation range. If it does fall within the normal range, an exchange or return will NOT be accepted. If you have failed to notify Rebirth Keepsakes by email after 7 days upon receipt of item, an exchange or return will NOT be accepted. You have 14 days after we address your concern via email to send the piece back to us. If we do not receive the piece within 14 days, we will not issue an exchange or return.
Do you offer any refunds or returns?
!!!We will not accept returns or exchanges under any circumstances after your order is placed due to the custom nature of keepsake jewelry!!!
You must be 100% sure of your ring size before placing an order as I CANNOT issue a refund/exchange if you ordered the wrong size. If you don't know your ring size, I recommend getting it checked at any local jewelry store (they'll do it for free) BEFORE purchasing. Settings are custom ordered for each piece and we do not keep stock inventory. I do send a ring sizer FOR SOLID GOLD RINGS ONLY (SOLID YELLOW GOLD, SOLID ROSE GOLD AND WHITE GOLD)!!!!! This is to TRIPLE check you have the right size, but do not rely on the sizer to be shipped to purchase the correct size. Meaning if you do not know your size before purchasing, go to a jeweler for free. This is just to make sure you were sized correctly.

Again, we will not accept returns or exchanges of any kind. This includes buyer's regret or the "wrong piece" being ordered as a gift for someone, or regret of choices that you made in the design process.
Can I cancel my order?
We do not offer order cancellations for ANY reason! So be absolutely sure before checking out you are purchasing exactly what you want and what you need.
Can I make a change to my order after it has been made?
Requests to change order details must be completed within 24 hours after purchase. As all supplies are promptly custom ordered, I cannot guarantee these requests will be fulfilled. This request must be submitted to rebirthkeepsakes@gmail.com. BE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR FULL NAME, ORDER NUMBER AND REQUEST IN EMAIL. Emails without this information may not meet the 24 hour time frame and the changes may not be made. DMs on Instagram or any other social media are not acceptable outlets to request changes. Handwritten notes left in your package with your breastmilk to make changes are absolutely NOT an acceptable way to make a request. You MUST email me. If I have already ordered the supplies for your jewelry, an order change will not be accepted. I will inform you via email if your order qualifies for a change.
Can I change the address my order be sent to?
